Airline negotiating with city to bring air service to Salem | Statesman Journal | statesmanjournal.com.

The City of Salem has entered into talks to bring air service back to the Salem airport.

Rob McKinney, chief executive of SeaPort airline confirmed that the airline is engaged in negotiations with the city, but nothing has been “set in stone.”

“We’ve done market research that indicates Salem would be a good fit for us,” MicKinney said. “And we felt the state capital really should have air service.”
